About ccTLD.it.com

Updated October 2026

ccTLD.it.com is an independent, free guide to the world's country-code domains, written for business owners, founders and domain investors.

What this site is

A reference library: plain-English guides, a directory of every country-code extension, and profiles of the most-used ones. We aim to be accurate, practical and free of hype.

What this site is not

We are not a registry or registrar, and we don't sell domains. .it.com is a commercial namespace under .com; this site has no connection with the Italian .it registry.

How we research

Our directory is based on the IANA root zone, and every extension links to its official IANA record. Each profile was researched from registry policies, registrar knowledge bases and reference works, then reviewed a second time against different sources. Where we could not confirm current rules for overseas registrants, we say so plainly ("Check with registry") rather than guess. Rules change, so summaries are kept short and dated, and each profile lists the sources checked.

Related tools

This site is published alongside TLD.is, an AI domain appraisal tool. Where a valuation genuinely helps a reader, we link to it. We don't accept payment for placement.
